Chapter Four

Tate let out a low laugh as he got to his feet and scooped Paris into his arms.

God, she liked being in his arms. He was so strong, so steady, and something about being with him felt so right. She refused to analyze the last sensation as he carried her out of the kitchen and down the hall to his bedroom.

He flicked on the light as he entered the room, walked to the bed, and gently lowered her down. He settled his body over hers and gazed down at her for a beat before capturing her mouth with his, this time in a kiss that was equal parts demanding and promising of even hotter things to come. He tasted so good and felt even better on top of her and, when he lifted his head to gaze down at her again, her breath caught in her throat.

“I’ve dreamed about you every night since that first kiss on the rooftop, about being here with you just like this.”

Paris had to swallow and lick her lips before she could find her voice. “So have I,” she admitted.

Surprise flickered through his expression and then his lips kicked into a sexy grin. “Really? What did I do to you?”

“You kissed me.” She slid a hand to his nape and pulled his mouth down to hers once more. His hands glided down her arms, lifted them over her head, and his fingers laced with hers as his mouth plundered hers, filling her senses with even more promises to last the night.

When he lifted his head to gaze down at her again, the grin was back and his eyes were so darkened by arousal they were nearly black. “Done. What’s next on the list?”

Paris let out a soft laugh. Enjoying herself and the amusement written all over his handsome face, she told him. “You took off my clothes.”

His sat up between her legs, using their entwined fingers to pull her up with him. He flattened his large hands on her shoulders, dragged them down her sides, and tugged her blouse from the waistband of her slacks. The backs of his fingers brushed her flesh as he lifted her shirt up and pulled it over her head. Fiery embers of anticipation and desire rained through system, igniting a firestorm in her cunt.

He tossed her blouse to the floor and his hands were on her again, sliding around her to free the clasp of her bra. He peeled the straps down her shoulders, his gaze dropping between them as her breasts spilled free. He tossed the bra aside, too, and gently pushed her to lie back on the bed as he went to work on her pants.

Paris helped by kicking off her shoes. She lifted her hips when he freed the button and zipper of her slacks. The continued flames in his eyes rose even higher as he tugged off her slacks, hooked his fingers in the thin strip of cotton on her hips, and eased her panties down.
